Side-by-side flatpack comparisons, from someone who’s been through it.
How this started
Give me a renovation project and I’m straight into research mode. When we needed new wardrobes, I dived into specs, reviews and forum threads to find the best flatpack option for us. Before I knew it, I was down a rabbit hole I didn’t have time for.
There was plenty about each brand on its own, but nothing that put them side by side and helped me decide.
And in those forums, it turned out I had plenty of company. The same question kept popping up, usually some version of “IKEA or Kaboodle?” Everyone had a different answer, and they were all sure they were right.
Between two kids and a full-time job, I needed answers fast, and I knew I wasn’t the only one. So I built the tool I wished I’d had. Compare Flatpacks checks every brand against the same list and puts them side by side, so you can decide quickly and avoid expensive mistakes.

Hi, I’m Mel! I’ve project-managed my own renovations, and I love the research side, especially finding DIY tricks that save money without the result looking cheap.

How we stay independent
We don’t partner with the brands we compare. IKEA, Kaboodle, Principal, Freedom and the rest don’t pay us anything, so the comparisons stay honest.
How affiliate links work: some add-on products we recommend, like custom doors and handles, pay us a small commission if you buy through our link. It costs you nothing extra, because the price is the same either way.
How we get the data: We get real quotes on standard layouts for each brand, rather than relying on published prices. We re-check them periodically, and every comparison point is recorded with its source.
